RCPCH Progress+

Our new two-level, run through specialty training programme is live as of August 2023. Progress+ enables your training to be more flexible and fulfilling. Find the full curriculum and syllabi, FAQs and resources here.

The Progress+ curriculum outlines the Learning Outcomes and Key Capabilities across 11 domains. (The former curriculum, Progress, is also available.) There is a syllabi for each training level: Core (ST1-4) and Specialty (ST5-7).

As a current or prospective trainee, or an educational supervisor, you may have questions about Progress+. Our FAQs are updated based on conversations around the UK.

This is our guide to the RCPCH principles for postgraduate paediatric training and how to apply them within local training programmes. It includes examples of good practice across the UK.
