The Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health is seeking two dynamic members to join our Board of Trustees during an exciting and pivotal time.

As we continue with our ambitious 2024-27 College strategy, we need passionate and strategic thinkers to oversee its implementation, ensuring we meet its key objectives and drive forward our mission to improve child health both in the UK and globally.

As a Member Trustee, you’ll play a vital role in shaping the governance and leadership of RCPCH. You’ll ensure the College stays true to its Royal Charter, upholds its core values, and maintains financial stability. Your leadership will drive our mission to deliver public benefit, safeguard our reputation, and advance our strategic goals. You’ll have a direct impact on major projects and policies that shape the future of child health - from influencing national policy to guiding College initiatives on workforce, research, health inequalities, and beyond.

Eligibility and skills

You must be a Fellow or Ordinary Member of RCPCH who is passionate about child health and enhancing member experiences.

Ideal candidates will bring strategic vision, strong independent judgment, financial acumen and excellent relationship-building skills.

Previous experience as a Trustee or in leadership roles within charity, academic, healthcare, or child health sectors is highly desirable but not essential.

Time commitment

The role requires attendance at four Board meetings and one Away Day each year, along with participation in training and key events. Meetings are held in London, with remote options available.
